Pink and Paisley is woman owned and operated by lead designer Ashley Diaz. Ashley is a Washington, DC florist specializing in romantic and elevated floral design. Her strong attention to detail and sustainability are evident in her floral work and across her instagram feed.
While she never planned on becoming a wedding florist, coming from a high stress job in mental health field Ashley utilized flowers to decompress and express her creativity. Three years of floral design and event decor, she still feels those first day butterflies that made her fall in love with the industry.
"If I had to choose a design style, I'd say my aesthetic is sophisticated but whimsical with lots of good candlelight! But I also in love with color. Color can create some of the most stunning arrangements in garden style weddings.
Flowers are the way I tell my client's story. Every bloom has its place and purpose. I aim to capture uniqueness and bring you joy through my designs. And I have found that I can utilize flowers to do that. I take pride in what I do and I am very big on intention.
Simply put, if you ask me, I am going to say let's add more flowers."

It's always good to have a baseline. Most of our brides spend on average between $8,000 and $12,000 on their wedding florals. These weddings typically encompass large scale floral designs, multiple event areas, larger wedding parties and guest lists upwards of 150+. We offer luxury wedding service to our clients from the time they inquire with us to realization of those designs on their wedding day. That said we never want to sacrifice the quality of our work and the other vendors we support. You expect the best and we want to give it to you!
We love an intimate wedding celebrations but unfortunately, creating a bouquet simply falls outside of our event minimum. We are happy to create cohesives designs for the entire wedding party, arches, installations and additional florals if needed.
We try to dissuade our brides and grooms from this practice of price shopping. Ball parks are almost never in the ballpark and you can't compare apples to oranges. We love flowers and our clients love them too! Our style is our own and we have created a unique formula to achieve those looks you love so much!
Yes, we do! We are always happy to coordinate with the planning and vendor team of your home town or destination location. It takes a little bit more planning and logistics but we certainly do not turn down a good time, unless we cannot accommodate a travel schedule for our studio.
We like to keep the process short and sweet. We typically work on proposals on Mondays and Tuesdays with a quick turnaround. We want to work with you and we pride ourselves on getting back to you quickly. In the meantime, we will always be available to answer any questions via email or phone.
In addition to our floral services, we offer full service custom event design. We will design and oversee all of the visual elements of each event, from floor plan layouts to selections of linens and rentals, lighting and draping design to all the paper details and everything in between. We thrive on running the full design show, but also make an awesome sidekick to a visionary planner.
