Summer is here and we couldn’t resist sharing our top three floral color palettes for summer 2023 brides! When it comes to choosing your wedding color palette, there are so many details to consider – how it will look on your bridal party, how it will blend or contrast with your venue, and most importantly, how your florals will look.

While a good florist can make any palette shine, some just rise above the rest! Flower availability during certain seasons can be a huge factor in bloom choice. As one of the top floral designers in Washington, D.C., we’ve seen some incredible summer florals over the years, so we’ve rounded up our absolute favorites to inspire you!

1. A Whimsical Summer Wedding Color Palette of Fuschia, Bubblegum Pink, and Pale Yellow

This fun and feminine color palette is the perfect addition to any summer wedding! Adding bright and playful colors like these helps brighten up any venue space and really bring a sense of joy to a wedding. For this bouquet, we focused on classic yellow roses, pink and fuchsia garden roses, and some white stock to add dimension and movement. We like to think any shade of pink is always in!

2. A Romantic Summer Wedding Color Palette of Blush and Burgundy

If you’re looking for florals that make a bold statement, this is the palette for you. This stunning Pippin Hill wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia featured shades of deep red and pink; lending the overall luxe garden aesthetic. While the monochromatic palette allowed the venue to shine. In the ceremony chuppah we opted for assortment of romantic garden roses, white larkspur and a myriad of sage colored greenery.

3. An Ethereal Summer Wedding Color Palette Soft Blue, Peach, and White

While blue has really taken a back seat in wedding florals for the past decade, we’re starting to see it make a strong comeback and I am so excited! This two-piece ceremony arch included garden roses in peach and creamy white. We also decided on cool blue delphinium to add some whimsy. This floral palette gives off European summer vibes. I absolutely love it!

While spring weddings are known for pastel shades and fall weddings are known for deeper tones, that we adore. Summer weddings allow brides and florists to play with the full range of colors. I love seeing what trends each summer brings. Summer 2023 did not disappoint! From hot pink and red to the resurgence of delicate blues, there’s a fun and fresh summer palette for every couple.
